The RC-1570 provides an entryway into higher performing separate components with all of the analog and digital inputs required by today’s sources.
The RC-1570 stereo preamplifier is also extremely flexible. Four digital inputs (2 coax and 2 optical), plus the rear PC-USB input handle digital sources up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution. The digital inputs are designed for sources such as TV set-top boxes, flat panel TVs or Blu-ray players for stunning playback. The PC-USB input makes use of audio playback software such as iTunes or Windows Media Player to replay music from your computer digital library.
A Bluetooth dongle is provided to be used with the front USB input. A premium Wolfson stereo D/A converter handles critical conversion from digital data to analog. Analog inputs include balanced XLR connectors (perfect for connecting the RCD-1570 via its XLR outputs) in addition to four pair of conventional RCA inputs. A moving magnet phono stage rounds out the source capability. XLR and single ended outputs are provided, as are two 12-volt triggers to control on/off opera and RS-232 on a standard DB-9 connector. In short, the RC-1570 is a tremendous value and the perfect upgrade for owners of older analog-only preamplifiers.
At 2 x 200 Watts per channel and utilizing Rotel’s Balanced Design Concept for superior performance, the RB-1582 MkII is a compelling stereo amplifier.
The RB-1582 MkII’s high-end performance begins with an extremely large toroidal transformer combined with a total of 60,000µF storage capacity in special “slit foil” capacitors to provide completely stable power to the output stage. Slit foil capacitors have the ability to charge and discharge extremely quickly, thereby ensuring signal fidelity during orchestral crescendos or repetitive kick-drum impacts, for example. Both left and right channel construction are laid out in a mono block design (after the toroidal transformer) and all grounding is terminated in a star pattern on a copper grounding plate to ensure low signal to noise. The output stage is a discrete design that consists of 10 high current bipolar transistors per channel. Input options consist of both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connectors.
The RB-1582 MkII stereo power amplifier is yet another outstanding example of Rotel’s Balanced Design Concept and will form the heart of a very impressive stereo or home theater system for years to come.
