The secret to SR9040’s incredible soundstage lies in the ultra-wide speaker dispersion provided by its Bipolar L/R Speaker Array. The SR9040 array incorporates two 3.5” mid/bass woofers and two 1” aluminum dome tweeters, one each facing left and right, and was designed to complement the Forward Focused Bipolar Array found in the BP9000 tower loudspeakers. By simultaneously firing both left and right from your side or rear positions, a naturalistic delay is added to the sound that creates immense, ambient depth in rooms of any size.

Balanced Double Surround System (BDSS™)

On either side of the SR9040’s bipolar L/R speaker array innovative 3.5” Balanced Double Surround System™ drivers designed to always put you in the best seat in the house. BDSS improves driver excursion, allowing the SR9040’s mid/bass drivers to play lower and blend with the built-in subwoofers and bass radiators found in other BP9000 models.

Because this technology is utilised across the entire BP9000 Series, when integrated with other BP9000 models, the SR9040 contributes to a more uniform midrange soundstage throughout your listening environment. That means full range reproduction of scores, ambience and surround sound effects; and a seamless flow of panning audio around the room.
