Richter Unicorn S6 Plus LCR Centre Speaker

The Richter Unicorn Series 6 Plus LCR Speaker is a rather unique and exciting speaker design not really seen or attempted before. The focus has being firmly on developing a true LCR speaker that delivers not only excellent cinema performance as a Centre speaker but also outstanding performance when used for stereo Hi-Fi listening and finally in an LCR Cinema setup.

It takes advantage of the same Premium Tweeter used in the S6 Plus range as well as the same new 6½” Mid-Bass drivers and the addition of positional switching on the rear ensures optimal performance can always be achieved. It shows no corners have been cut when it comes to getting the best out of this incredibly unique LCR speaker. It is the ultimate crossover speaker, delivering an exciting engaging entertainment experience whether you’re sitting back enjoying a movie or spinning a CD or streaming your latest favourite tunes.

So Much More Than Just A Centre Speaker: The RC / LC switching is designed to correctly position the bass and mid-bass drivers on the correct side of the Tweeter depending if the speaker is positioned on the Left or Right in stereo mode or Left or Right of the centre speaker in an LCR configuration. When used in a 2 Channel Hi-Fi or LCR (3 speakers Left, Centre, Right) setup the LC/RC switch ensures the correct Bass and Mid/Bass driver positioning to deliver optimum stereo imaging in either Horizontal or Vertical positioning.

Additionally, the C / LR switching is designed to select between the LR (Left, Right) setting or the C (Centre) setting which lifts the output an extra 1-1.5db from 3-10khz to optimise the speaker for centre channel duties.

Premium Tweeter: The new tweeter, borrowed from the Premium Special Edition range, deliveries considerably better sensitivity with a lower resonance frequency and double the power handling resulting in a new level of clarity and engagement – like lifting a veil on the music.

Improved Drivers: The 6½” (165mm) lightweight midrange/bass driver has been improved for the Unicorn S6 Plus. It exhibits notable advancements, particularly around the 1kHz range. There’s also a commendable reduction of approximately 10% in nonlinear distortion compared to its predecessor. This all helps the Plus sound audibly smoother and more open sounding.
